followed by Open Mic
Diane Lockward’s second full-length collection, What Feeds Us, was
released in October 2006 by Wind Publications. The collection
received the Quentin R. Howard Poetry Prize. The collection has
already received a number of strong reviews in such journals as
Louisiana Literature, Cider Press Review, and The Literary Review.
This collection will be featured in the March e-issue of Rattle. Her
first book, Eve's Red Dress, was published in 2003, also from Wind
Publications. One poem from the collection was featured on Verse
Daily, two poems were featured on Poetry Daily, and another was read
by Garrison Keillor on The Writer’s Almanac. Keillor also included
the poem, “My Husband Discovers Poetry,” in his recent anthology, Good
Poems for Hard Times. In addition, he read the poem at the Dueling
Anthologists Reading with Billy Collins at the 92nd St. Y in
Manhattan. Eve's Red Dress received a number of favorable reviews in
such journals as Prairie Schooner, Calyx, and Poet Lore.
