(a series of hugely interesting talks)

It's hard to say where this idea really started, but, there were two recent things that brought it from hazy to real. One is that Jennifer and Dan often talk about how two of their favorite parts of the local UU service are the time of silence, and, when the speaker talks about something they're passionate about rather than presenting a more traditional sermon. The other is watching a bunch of the talks from past TED conferences (http://www.ted.com/), which they both really enjoy, and which they both came to realize were best not when the person was famous or a genius but when the speaker was passionate about the topic. They realized that this level of passion, and knowledge of a topic, isn't reserved for the world-renowned. This level of passion and knowledge of a topic is present in a large number of people they already knew. People like you.
Talks take place on the fourth Saturday of every month at 6pm, and last from 30-40 minutes. One speaker per evening.
We ask for a donation at the door of $5 per person, and seat a maximum of 30 people.
